Welcome to Merchant Street Practice

Merchant Street Health Centre

Improve Health and well being of the local community by aiming for clinical excellence and working in partnership with patients.

We have a strong emphasis on education and training in the practice.

We often have doctors working in the practice who are training to be GP's or want to have experience in working in General Practice. They are always closely supervised by senior GP's.

We have medical students from Queen Mary's University.

We have receptionist doing apprenticeship.

We have close links with community services such as District Nursing, Midwives, Health Visitors, Psychology Services and Social Services.

Making an appointment

You can make an appointment either in person, via telephone or online.

Urgent cases are seen on the same day. It is advised to call in the morning as early as possible for an urgent appointment. You can also consult the pharmacists for a range of conditions - see our online service.

We offer a telephone consultation service. Our receptionist will ask you for a contact number and a doctor will call you back the same day.
